Christmas already?

Well, not really but when the creative urge really strikes, you just have to go with it!

I spent the last week or so creating these little nests for Christmas. Some of you may know from previous Christmas posts that we like to use lots of birds along with other animals and nature items on our Christmas tree so it was a natural progression to create the nests.



I have added some vintage style elements too, like the velvet, richly coloured leaves and rustic twig hearts. I also used some vintage millinery roses.



Penny and Dot were only to happy to help by giving up a few pretty feathers for our project as they are molting anyway!



Each nest has a wire hanger wrapped in rough cut strips of vintage fabric and decorated with tiny leaves and bright red berries. They can be hung from the tree or around the house.



Each nest is different although they all contain mostly the same elements. Some have snow on the nest, some have a little Christmas bell, some have different fabric covering their wire hangers. We have added a few to the website today and there are several more to be listed over the next few days.



What little bird could ask for more?
