This + That Friday!

Vacation Days 4, 5 + 6 included a 3' Manhatten Pizza, early morning surf trips with Uncle Dave and the kids, a trip to The Rainbow Outlet and a trip to Farrell's Ice Cream to celebrate Jill's birthday. More playing in the ocean and boogie boarding at the Pier. Dinner at Avila's that included lobster. I bought a new hat...and on Day 6, my sister and her family packed up and took off early the next morning to head home. The house is too quiet...and scary that it is feeling more like our own home everyday.

Being here for so long has made good little surfers out of our kids. Yesterday (Day 7) was our first day NOT going to the beach. Everyone needed a day off. Ooops. Scratch that. Dave went surfing last night. I sat on the beach with Blake and watched him surf until sunset and I dreamed of owning a second home here and how I would decorate it. I also dream of spending a whole month here one summer. Keeping my fingers crossed that maybe it will be next summer!

 I also fell in love with Dave yesterday all over again watching him enjoy one of his passions on a short board. That was important since the night before I dreamt that I had an affair and ruined the good thing we had going. I hate dreams like that that feel so real  and stupid. I used to dream that he was leaving me and I would wake up crying and so hurt. It all stems from my first marriage and while those type of dreams happen a lot less often, they are still raw and I don't like the feeling I have when I wake up.

I have stocked the shop with a few of the new Keep Calm + Carry On Charm Necklaces. The new chains haven't arrived yet (they better before QBM or I'm in trouble) but I still have some supply of the ball chain, so I thought I would list a few!
