DIY Fabric Covered Cork Board

I'm still working on finishing Kaia's room.
We are headed to Ikea this weekend for some final touches.
I'll post the big reveal next week.
With info on where I purchased everything.

In the meantime,
I revamped her cork board that was in her room
that didn't really match the new decor.

I purchased the framed cork board at Ross.
Bought some fabric that coordinates with her room off Etsy.
Here is my mini tutorial with pictures.

How to:
Measure the size of the exposed cork and cut the fabric to match.
Next iron the fabric to smooth out the wrinkles
and spray adhesive all over the cork.
Lay the fabric over the cork and smooth the fabric onto the cork.
Cut grosgrain ribbon to length for each edge
and use a glue gun to secure the ribbon to the edges,
folding under the edges where needed.

It looks great hanging on her wall.
But you will have to wait for the big reveal to see the actual finished product!post signature
